Category: Plaid
The Plaid class of bowl and vessel design mimics plaid patterns in textiles, where wood color “intersections” use another wood to evoke the mixed/combined color of the intersecting color(s). Unlike the Gingham class, though, the geometry of the pattern varies in a very structured and symmetrical way in both dimensions, latitude and longitude of the bowl or vessel (with the exception of Plaid #161).
